If you happen to be in London, a great way to spend your evening would be walking around Leicester Square. It's a very lively place with many street side cafes, comedy stores, souvenir shops, some of the best ice cream parlours, cinemas, eating joints and much more. Also, its a short walk from Piccadilly Circus an China Town too is just around the corner.

 There is a fair bit of redevelopment happening; trust it's for the Olympics

Big Ben from London Eye, London

Continuing with my obsession with the London Eye and Big Ben, here are, probably the signing off shots, shots of the Big Ben as seen from the London Eye. This was a challenge in one sense that for some weird reasons, tripods weren't allowed near the London Eye. Two security men came up to me and marked out the region that was like - no tripod zone!

So this and the previous London Eye shots were all via as possibly stable hands, boundary walls and railings, small dividing pillars and ground. 


These ones have come off the boundary wall and railings.

The London Eye Views at Night, London

There is little doubt in my mind that shooting the London Eye and Big Ben at night and even the twilight were absolutely enjoyable and were sheer delight. I am very pleased with how most of the photos have turned out; except with me having missed out on a couple of shots when I compared with mine at a later time. Nonetheless, I can say that I kinda got into London Eye's skin and here's why - I've played around with a lot of angles and views apart from the standard ones that I've already featured so far. And here's a collection of seven such shots. I've simply numbered them to get your votes on your favourites.

Big Ben and the Moon, London

London Eye lit in blue at Night

The London Eye Ferris Wheel offers great panoramic views of London. The Wheel doesn't stop during operating hours and yet visitors can easily hop on and off the Wheel; that's the comfortable speed it always moves at giving you about 30 minutes in the gondola (capsule). 


During the day you can easily spot various landmarks, which appear to glow in gold along with all of London City at night. Die hard romantics can even book a gondola for an hour or so for a special day :)

London Eye, Big Ben and Westminster Bridge at Night

Once again, three of London's iconic structures by the River Thames, London Eye, Big Ben and Westminster Bridge, this time at Night and under the moonlight. Another thing I'll like to bring to your attention, which may not be too prominent, is a faint white streak across the London Eye. That was created by an aircraft passing by...
