Amritsar, Punjab, India: Renowned for the holy shrine of the Sikhs, The Golden Temple - Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar is home to lovely people and some amazing food. Being close to the border, a visit to the Attari-Wagha (Pakistan) border is also a must. Verdict - Amritsar is a must visit place for all, especially if you are around the north of India.

Bhandardara, Maharashtra, India: Situated at just a 3-3.5 hour drive away from Mumbai, and off Nashik, this village offers some breathtaking sights and plenty of tranquility.
