An Indian (Punjabi/Hindu) wedding ritual, known as til vale, tilappa or til methre, where the newly wed bride exchanges fistful of sesame seeds with her new family members for prosperity and harmony.

I love the bangles... ! Did you click the one where the bride throws rice back on her family while leaving? that's a very emotional thing :( I do not know the name of the ritual though..
ReplyDeleteyea...u rite...this is more on the 'fun and games' type, but pretty symbolic as well. n the rice-bit, i'll try pick that for the next wedding if possible.
