Trafalgar Square, London

Trafalgar Square, London

Trafalgar Square is a not only a popular tourist spot but also a public place that is host to demonstrations and community celebrations like Diwali, Chinese New Year, New Year's Even and like. It is a landmark in memory of the Battle of Trafalgar, which was fought between the English and French navies.

Trafalgar Square pays tribute to the hero of the Battle of Trafalgar, Admiral Horatio Nelson. In his memory is the Nelson Column that is situated in the center of the Square.

The Nelson Column is guarded by four lions; and this is one of those.

Seen here is the Nelson Column guarded by one of the four lions.
