Street Artist at Piccadilly Circus, London

Street Artist - Stand up comedian at Piccadilly Circus, London

Here are two contrasting shots of the same artist; one a more vintage look with the black and white and the other a colourful one. What's your take?

Piccadilly Circus, London

Piccadilly Circus, London
Here's another look at London's most popular spot to meet and greet and spend time, Piccadilly Circus. Popular with tourists and locals, the iconic statue of Anteros, Greek God of 'Requited/Counter Love', along with the fountain is situated at the heart of Piccadilly. Also seen in the background is the Ripley's Believe It Or Not.

Scavenger Hunt - Week 27th November

This post is for the Scavenger Hunt - Week 27th November. The five submissions were for Waiting, Foliage, Candid, Knife-Spoon-or-Fork and Rule of Thirds.
Here is my interpretation and entry for the Scavenger Hunt.
1. Waiting
An old farmer waits for a dear one at the end of the day in a village in Haryana, India

2. Foliage
Mumbai, India, doesn't really have a fall season. In fact it barely has a winter. However, nature has its mechanism for a wardrobe makeover; a bit of leaves and a few flowers...

3. Candid
This is my version of a shot that one might catch in a wildlife park. I caught this on an adjacent parapet where a cat had hunted down a bird and was being disturbed with its afternoon meal!

4. Knife-Spoon-or-Fork
A knife and its victims - ripe red tomatoes!

5. Rule of Thirds
A shot of a white heron (great egret) taking a stroll on a Sunday afternoon.

London, Clear Blue Skies and Streaks

London, Clear Blue Skies and Streaks

This one was slightly mistimed, else I would have go the bird right where I would have liked it. Sadly, I had little time to switch to the burst mode...

Scavenger Hunt - Week 20th November

This post is for the Scavenger Hunt - Week 20th November. The five submissions were for Mainly One Colour, Around the Home, Reflection, Writing and Water.
Here is my interpretation and entry for the Scavenger Hunt.
1. Mainly One Colour
Blue - This shot is of the iconic London Eye, which truly is a spectacle at night. This shot was at twilight which is why I managed to get the blue lighting, blue pods and the blue sky.

2. Around the Home
Fire Extinguisher - Needless to say, but this is must have for every home.

3. Reflection
The Hammersmith Bridge, London - This is a very old suspension bridge that connects the borough of Hammersmith and Barnes. The reflections are seen in River Thames that flows in London.

4. Writing
Just a candid black-and-white shot!

5. Water
Mauritius - This is one place that I've seen to have the cleanest and clearest waters (Indian Ocean). While most of the times the crystal clear water appears blue/green, this one occasion it went dark grey because of a little storm around the corner.

Piccadilly Circus, London, at Night under Lights

Piccadilly Circus, London

Arguably London's most popular spot to meet and greet and spend time. It is much like Times Square; not only is it popular with tourists, but also with locals. Situated is the iconic statue of Anteros, Greek God of 'Requited/Counter Love', along with the fountain. It's a real sight to see at night with great lighting and some street shows going around. Also seen in the background is the Ripley's Believe It Or Not.

Its a bad shot...but its my only shot!
